Matthew Wall RP, #15760
Matthew’s aim is to change client’s self-defeating cycles into meaningful and fulfilling wellbeing. His approach includes understanding and changing patterns and behavior so that clients feel confidence and satisfaction in themselves, their relationships, and their life. Matthew focuses on enhancing self awareness and putting oneself in a position of choice. This includes techniques which separate triggers and reactivity so client’s can decide what they really want and choose how they act.
Matthew works with adults and adolescents from diverse backgrounds and experiences. He connects with his clients by communicating genuine respect for people regardless of circumstance. Matthew is warm and compassionate and enjoys helping his clients in session and contributing to their wellbeing.
Matthew is dedicated to accumulating expertise in Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), an evidence-based treatment for Obsessive Compulsive Disorder OCD. Matthew also has a background utilizing modalities including Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Matthew has utilized these modalities for the treatment of Social Anxiety Disorder, Generalized Anxiety Disorder, Borderline Personality Disorder, Bipolar Disorder, Attention-Deficit/Hyperactivity Disorder, Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, and Substance Use Disorder. Matthew is in his element helping clients with issues such as grief, depression, low self-esteem, low motivation, anxiety, shame, guilt, aimlessness, insomnia, and relationship issues or codependency.

I’m specialized in tailoring exposure and response prevention (ERP) for clients who are experiencing symptoms of obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) such as intrusive thoughts and images, avoidance, and compulsive/safety-seeking behaviours. While ERP is hard work, you don’t have to do it alone. We’ll work together to take your life back. My approach is based on compassionate direct communication. I consider awareness to be an important vehicle for positive individual change and agency in the context of a safe therapeutic relationship while acknowledging the multiple systemic factors that impact us as individuals and collectively. Farwa has experience working with clients from diverse backgrounds and has worked with adolescents and adults and has supported individuals struggling with stress, anxiety, depression, loss and grief, workplace issues, low self-esteem, relationship challenges, divorce and trauma.
Farwa’s therapy style is client-centred, and she uses an integrative approach in therapy that uses modalities such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), and Mindfulness.
